Feet and Wings
This is not a good bird photo! But I had just got a Sony A7R4 at the time and was trying it out and for some reason liked the detail of this bird’s feet and it’s wing blur. Yes, it’s “only a seagull” but they’re good birds for practice!

Just a Seagull
Seagulls are abundant but are good birds for practice. I guess I like this photo as I had just got my hands on a Sony A7R4 at the time and liked the level of detail and sharpness that I could get.

About to fight
Not a great photo as it is so cropped in. I saw one eagle following the other far away and so followed with my camera. The two got into a brief scrap after this.

Fighting Eagles
This is NOT a good photo as it is so cropped in and was not sharp and was very noisy. But the action is very good. I saw one eagle following another, far away, and followed them with my camera.

The Eagle and The Oystercaster
This oystercatcher was intent on harassing this bald eagle. The GPS for this image is approximate as it was taken on a boat somewhere between Protection Island and Port Townsend.

A great egret suddenly came down and landed displaying its beautiful wings. As with much bird photography it was sudden and I wish I’d been able to get a sharper shot.

Osprey Hunting
This osprey was hunting on Buck Lake in Hansville. Between the movement of the bird, and the movement of the inflatable kayak I was on, it was a bit hard to get a sharp shot and the moment went quickly.
